Mission 304 Report
June 2014

This is a report for Mission 304 by Grace on Wings.

Departure:  Cleveland, Ohio

Arrival:  Amarillo, Texas

Date:  June 17, 2014

Mission Report

The time wore on the family as Mr. G was in the Cardio-vascular ICU at the Cleveland Clinic. At 85, Mr. G already had had a heart attack some years ago, but this year required additional open heart surgery to provide better blood flow through the heart.

During surgery he suffered a stroke rendering him immobile on the right side and weak on the Left.

The toll on his wife and daughters was obvious once aboard “Abe” as Mrs. G sought a few minutes rest as Hal Blank piloted Abe to Tulsa, OK. Our second passenger was the patients daughter.

Matt Guy, our nurse and paramedic, and John Hannigan, Respiratory Therapist, completed the flight crew on the June 17, 2014 mission.

After Tulsa, Abe continued on to Amarillo TX where Mr. G’s next stop was: rehabitation. We hope you’ll join us in lifting up Mr. G and his family as rehabilitation progresses.

For all the staff and volunteers at Grace on Wings we thank the contributions of time and resources that made Mission 304 successful.

We show “Christ’s love through aviation” no matter our job title or role.

God bless you,

John Hannigan, RRT
