"Each of you has received a gift to use to serve others. Be good servants of God's various gifts of Grace" (1 Peter 4:10)

About Grace on Wings

Inspired by the need of two young Indianapolis girls who suffer from a genetic bone disorder that requires regular visits to a Baltimore specialist -- more than 11 hours away by car -- we researched available charitable air ambulance services in the Midwest and were disappointed to find only a few in existence in the entire country.

As told to us by the largest non-medical charity transport company, the need for air ambulance charity service is HUGE.

Many people are unable to afford the transport to get the medical care they so desperately need. With the support of charitable funding, Grace on Wings provides transport to patients who are needing to go for important treatment throughout the United States.

Statements of Faith

The Bible is God's unique revelation to people. It is the inspired, infallible Word of God, and the supreme and final authority on all matters upon which it teaches. No other writings are vested with such divine authority.
II Timothy 3:16-17, II Peter 1:20-21

There is only one God, creator of heaven and earth, who exists eternally as three persons - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, each fully God yet each personally distinct from the other.
Deuteronomy 6:4, Isaiah 48:12-16, II Corinthians 13:14

All people are created in God's image and matter deeply to Him. Central to the message of the Bible is that God loves people, and invites them to live in communion with Himself and in community with each other.
Genesis 1:26-27, John 3:16, Acts 2:37-47

Apart from Jesus Christ, all people are spiritually lost and, because of sin, deserve the judgment of God. However, God gives salvation and eternal life to anyone who trusts in Jesus Christ and in His sacrifice on his or her behalf. Salvation cannot be earned through personal goodness or human effort. It is a gift that must be received by humble repentance and faith in Christ and His finished work on the cross.
Isaiah 59:2, Romans 3:9-23, Ephesians 2:8-9, John 1:12

Jesus Christ, second Person of the Trinity, was born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless human life, willingly took upon Himself all of our sins, died and rose again bodily, and is at the right hand of the Father as our advocate and mediator. Some day, He will return to consummate history and to fulfill the eternal plan of God.
John 1:1-2, 14, 18, Luke 1:35, I John 2:1-2, Colossians 3:1, Hebrews 1:3, 7:25, 9:24

The Holy Spirit, third Person of the Trinity, convicts the world of sin and draws people to Christ. He also indwells all believers. He is available to empower them to lead Christ-like lives, and gives them spiritual gifts with which to serve the church and reach out to a lost and needy world.
John 16:7-15, Romans 8:9, I Corinthians 12:12-14, Ephesians 1:13-14, 5:18, I Peter 4:10

Death seals the eternal destiny of each person. At the final judgment, unbelievers will be separated from God into condemnation. Believers will be received into God's loving presence and rewarded for their faithfulness to Him in this life.
Hebrews 9:27, II Corinthians 5:8, II Thessalonians 1:7-9, Revelation 20:11-15

All believers are members of the body of Christ, the one true church universal. Spiritual unity is to be expressed among Christians by acceptance and love of one another across ethnic, cultural, socio-economic, national, generational, gender, and denominational lines.
I Corinthians 12:12-14, Ephesians 1:22-23, John 17:17-23, Ephesians 4:1-6

Why Is There A Need?

In today's highly mobile society, tragedy often strikes hundreds of miles from home where family and loving support is not available.

Long-distance patient transfers for essential treatment is an increasing necessity as hospitals are more specialized.

Our elderly family memebers often find themselves in failing health and in need of family to help but are too far away to receive it.

Who Qualifies?

The cost of a commercial air ambulance service is an expense that most insurance polices do not cover, and many families are not able to pay for commercial service.

Our charity air ambulance service is available for those who are:

• Too ill for commercial flight.

• Too ill for long distance ground transportation.

• Unable to afford transportation to access critical medical care.

• To be eligible, the patient must have a condition requiring medically-supervised transport for a distance of at least 150 miles.
