Living in the Courageous Zone!
By Pastor Lonnie Richardson
Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you! Asthe Father has sent me, I
am sending you.” (John 20:21)
Are you living in cause or circumstance? When
we live in our circumstances, life becomes
stuck emotionally and it functions as a matter
of habit.
We do what we do for the sake of
stability and familiarity to survive. It is comfortable to act out of habit, but to grow
and move on, new balances must be sought which are driven by deeper causes.
Grace on Wings is driven by a deep courageous cause: To show Christ’s love
through aviation. A real human need is addressed that honors God by way of
aviation.

Our flesh encourages us to live in the comfort zone, but God encourages us to live
in the courageous zone.
Think of the children of Israel in their exodus to the
promise land. If Moses had taken a poll in the middle of the Sinai journey to ask
what they thought, where they wanted to go or what they wanted to do they would
have stoned him and returned to Egypt and slavery.
When asked, we are tempted
to choose the avenue of least resistance to pain. However, sometimes pain is
necessary for healing. Grace on Wings is what it is today because of the outreach
faith of mission-minded Christ followers who saw a need and took action.
It takes courage to venture in the desert. It takes vision to see the other side. Let’s
continue to be inspired by ministries like Grace on Wings and partner with them
for the thrilling journey in the courageous zone.
